NOVA SOUTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY TO HOST TOWN HALL MEETING
FOR HOLOCAUST SURVIVORS
Ft. Lauderdale-Davie, FL. – Edwin Black, award-winning author and investigative journalist, will lead a “town hall meeting” of Holocaust survivors, second generation members and other Jewish communal leaders on Monday, June 18th in the Alfred and Rose Miniaci Performing Arts Center, on the main campus of Nova Southeastern University. It is scheduled to begin at 12 noon.
The discussions will cover the International Tracing Service in Bad Arolsen Germany, their archives and contents; discussions on how corporations and insurance companies may have profited from the materials contained in the files at Bad Arolsen; a lively discussion and question-answer session on why some oppose the transfer of documents from Bad Arolsen to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, as well as other topics.
The town hall meeting, free and open to all, will feature telecom participation from individuals across the United States. Officials of Bad Arolsen are scheduled to take calls from the audience and callers. The event will be taped for Edwin Black’s forthcoming new TV show, “The Cutting Edge,” scheduled to be broadcast into 32 million households in 54 basic cable markets via the new JLTV network. Copies of the DVD will be Internet streamed and distributed.
The event is cosponsored by a coalition of some two dozen grass roots Holocaust survivor associations, second generation groups, national Jewish organizations, and other Jewish communal groups, as well History Network News and the Cutting Edge TV Program.
